Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for ensuring the safe navigation and operation of the vessel. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The 3rd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, keeping watch, and performing routine maintenance tasks. They will also be responsible for updating navigation charts and publications, and participating in safety drills and training exercises. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will assist with cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo.

What we look for
- Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- At least 12 months of experience as a 3rd Officer on a tanker vessel
- Good knowledge of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on mathematics and science subjects
