Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a General Cargo Vessel, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ship. This role involves a range of tasks, including navigation, cargo operations, and maintenance. The 3rd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to achieve these goals.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, performing cargo watches, and maintaining deck equipment. They will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training crew members. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will assist with cargo planning and loading/unloading operations.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a deck officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of cargo operations and navigation
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
