Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Heavy-Lift Carrier, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to plan and execute cargo operations. The 3rd Officer will also be involved in maintaining the vessel's deck and cargo equipment.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties at sea will include navigating the vessel, maintaining navigational equipment, and performing cargo watches. They will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting any issues with the vessel's cargo or deck equipment. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain their skills and knowledge.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of cargo operations and heavy lift procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
