The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on an Oil/chemical tanker, responsible for ensuring the safe navigation and operation of the vessel. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The 3rd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The day-to-day duties of the 3rd Officer include navigating the vessel, monitoring weather and sea conditions, and performing safety drills and training exercises. The 3rd Officer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and logs, and for reporting any defects or issues to the Master. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will participate in cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo.

Requirements
- OKValid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- OKAt least 12 months of experience as a 3rd Officer on a tanker vessel
- OKHigh school diploma or equivalent
- OKAbility to pass a medical examination and obtain a valid seafarer's medical certificate
- OKTanker cargo operations training and certification
