Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our oil tanker vessels. This role involves navigating the vessel safely and efficiently. The 3rd Officer will also be responsible for cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties include navigating the vessel using electronic and traditional methods, monitoring cargo operations, and performing safety drills. The 3rd Officer will also be responsible for updating navigation charts and publications, and maintaining the vessel's safety equipment. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will participate in cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses.
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a good understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures.
- Must be able to work well in a team and communicate effectively with other crew members.
