Role overview
The 4th Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 4th Engineer will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 4th Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the vessel's engines, pumps, and other machinery. They will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the vessel's fuel and lubrication systems, as well as performing regular checks on the vessel's safety equipment. Additionally, the 4th Engineer will be required to keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 4th Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as a 4th Engineer on a merchant vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a medical examination and obtain any required visas
- Valid passport
