Role overview
The Able Seaman is a key member of the deck crew on our oil/chemical tanker vessels, responsible for maintaining the safety and efficiency of deck operations. This role involves working on a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel. The Able Seaman will work under the supervision of senior deck officers.
The day-to-day duties of the Able Seaman include maintaining the deck and superstructure, performing cargo operations, and participating in safety drills and training exercises. The Able Seaman will also be responsible for standing watch, reporting any defects or issues to senior officers, and contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the vessel. Additionally, the Able Seaman will assist with mooring and unmooring operations, as well as other tasks as directed by senior officers.

What we look for
- Valid STCW certificate
- Valid medical certificate
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Able Seaman on a merchant vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
