Role overview
The AB/Cook is a key member of the crew on a General Cargo Vessel, responsible for both deck and galley duties. This role requires a unique combination of maritime and culinary skills. The AB/Cook will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The AB/Cook's day-to-day duties will include assisting with cargo operations, maintaining the deck and superstructure, and preparing meals for the crew. The AB/Cook will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the galley and mess areas. In addition, the AB/Cook will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies.

What we look for
- Valid STCW certificate
- Food Safety and Hygiene certificate
- Ability to lift 25kg
- 2 years of experience as an AB/Cook on a merchant vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent
