The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall operation, maintenance and performance of the main and auxiliary machinery on a 300,000‑dwt crude oil tanker. You will ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and technical standards while optimizing fuel consumption and engine reliability.
Daily duties include supervising the engine department crew, planning and executing preventive maintenance, and overseeing repairs during voyages. You will monitor engine performance data, manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with the ship’s Master on operational matters. Reporting to the company’s technical office, you will prepare technical logs, incident reports and compliance documentation.

Requirements
- OKChief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (COC) to STCW 1995/2000
- OKMinimum 5 years experience as Chief Engineer on crude oil tankers of 150,000 dwt or more
- OKProven ability to lead and develop engine department personnel
- OKIn‑depth knowledge of IMO, MARPOL and SOLAS regulations applicable to tankers
- OKExcellent record of safety and environmental compliance
