The Chief Engineer will be the senior technical officer on a 10,000‑ton general cargo ship operating worldwide. You will be responsible for the overall performance, safety and efficiency of the engine department throughout the voyage.

Daily duties include supervising the engine crew, planning and executing maintenance on main and auxiliary machinery, and monitoring plant performance using the vessel’s automation system. You will conduct daily inspections, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Reporting to the Master, you will also handle emergency response and technical troubleshooting at sea.
