**

You will be the senior technical officer on a modern LNG carrier, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all main and auxiliary plant systems. The role includes overseeing fuel gas handling, cargo containment, and compliance with IMO and classification society regulations for LNG vessels.

Daily duties involve supervising the engine department, planning and executing maintenance schedules, and monitoring performance of the dual‑fuel engines and cryogenic cargo pumps. You will conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot equipment failures, and ensure all records meet audit standards. Coordination with the chief officer for cargo operations and with shore personnel for spare parts and technical support is also required.

Requirements

  • OK- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC) on board vessels of 5,000 GT or more, endorsed for LNG carriers (STCW 2010).
  • OK- Minimum 5 years sea service as Chief Engineer or Senior Engineer on LNG or dual‑fuel vessels.
  • OK- Proficiency with LNG cargo handling systems, cryogenic pumps, and dual‑fuel engine controls.
  • OK- Familiarity with IMO MARPOL Annex VI, ISGOTT, and class society requirements for LNG ships.
  • OK- Strong leadership, communication skills and ability to work in multicultural crews.
