Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the navigation, cargo, and deck operations on a bulk carrier. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with international regulations and company policies.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo operations, navigating the vessel, and maintaining deck equipment. They will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training junior officers. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in voyage planning and monitoring the vessel's progress.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a bulk carrier
- Must have a valid STCW certificate
- Must have excellent navigation and cargo handling skills
- Must be proficient in English
