Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations and maintaining the ship's hull and equipment. The Chief Officer also assists the Master in making key decisions.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, maintaining safety equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. They are also responsible for navigating the vessel, monitoring weather conditions, and updating navigation charts. Additionally, the Chief Officer participates in cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a tanker vessel.
- Must have a valid STCW certificate.
- Must have a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
