Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior officer on a Crude oil tanker responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure safe and efficient operations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master and other officers to achieve company goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, monitoring deck maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Valid Chief Mate certificate of competency
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a tanker vessel
