Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the General Cargo Vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, maintaining deck equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Chief Officer also assists the Master in navigational and administrative tasks.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, performing safety drills and training, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations. The Chief Officer is also responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and participating in bridge watchkeeping duties. Additionally, the Chief Officer conducts regular inspections of the vessel's hull, superstructure, and equipment to identify and report any defects or damage.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer
- At least 2 years of experience as Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel
- Strong knowledge of cargo operations, safety procedures, and navigation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid medical certificate and passport
