Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the LPG vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, deck maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Chief Officer will also assist the Master in navigational and administrative tasks.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising cargo loading and discharging, performing safety drills and training, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and vessel operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for managing the deck crew, assigning tasks, and monitoring their performance. Additionally, the Chief Officer will conduct regular inspections of the vessel's deck and cargo equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency for LPG vessels.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on LPG or similar vessels.
- Possess a valid STCW certificate, including advanced training in cargo operations and safety procedures.
- Have a strong understanding of international maritime regulations, including SOLAS and MARPOL.
- Be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
