Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve these goals.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, maintaining deck equipment, and managing cargo operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel, using electronic navigation systems, and keeping accurate records. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency for Oil/chemical tankers.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel.
- Possess a valid STCW certificate, including basic training and advanced tanker cargo operations.
- Have a strong understanding of ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL regulations.
- Be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
