Role overview
The ETO is a key member of the engineering team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic equipment. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently. The ETO will also assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
The ETO's day-to-day duties at sea will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems, testing and calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ETO will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. Additionally, the ETO will provide technical support and training to other crew members as needed.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Electro-Technical Officer certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a merchant vessel.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation and communication equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
