The ETO will maintain all electrical and electronic systems on a modern oil/chemical tanker, ensuring safe operation of power generation, navigation, cargo handling and communication equipment. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and deck crew to support vessel performance and compliance with classification societies.
Daily duties include routine inspection, testing and preventive maintenance of generators, switchboards, automation systems and alarm panels. You will troubleshoot faults, carry out repairs, and keep detailed logs of all work performed. The role also involves managing spare parts inventory and supporting planned dry‑dock projects.

Requirements
- OKSTCW 95 with Electro‑Technical Officer endorsement (or equivalent)
- OKENG1 (Marine) medical certificate, valid
- OKMinimum 2 years experience as ETO on oil or chemical tankers
- OKProven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC systems
- OKBasic knowledge of hazardous area regulations and fire‑safety systems
