Role overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our Deck department on a Bulk carrier. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing ship equipment and machinery. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background and attention to detail.
As a Fitter/Welder on our Bulk carrier, your day-to-day duties will include performing repairs and maintenance on deck equipment, such as cranes and winches, as well as welding and fabricating parts as needed. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with ship machinery and equipment. Additionally, you will work closely with other crew members to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and safely.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW certificate
- Fitter/Welder trade certificate
- At least 2 years of experience as a Fitter/Welder on a commercial vessel
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- High school diploma or equivalent
