Role overview
The Fitter/Welder will be part of the deck department on a Product tanker, responsible for maintaining and repairing ship equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and welding techniques. The Fitter/Welder will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The Fitter/Welder's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on deck equipment, such as pumps and winches. They will also be responsible for welding and fabricating parts as needed, as well as troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues. Additionally, the Fitter/Welder will be expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW certificate
- Fitter/Welder trade certification
- At least 2 years of experience as a Fitter/Welder on a merchant vessel
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- High school diploma or equivalent
