The Master will be the overall authority on a modern crude oil tanker, responsible for safe navigation, cargo handling and compliance with international regulations. You will lead a multinational crew and ensure the vessel meets OSG’s operational standards.

Daily duties include planning voyages, supervising cargo loading and discharge, monitoring stability and ballast operations, and maintaining watchkeeping logs. You will conduct bridge and engine room inspections, enforce safety drills, and liaise with port authorities and charterers. All decisions must prioritize crew safety, environmental protection and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • OK- Valid Master Mariner’s Certificate of Competency for Oil Tanker (STCW 2010)
  • OK- Minimum 3,000 days sea service on tankers, with at least 1,200 days as Chief Officer or Master
  • OK- Proficiency in ECDIS, GMDSS and advanced bridge navigation systems
  • OK- Demonstrated knowledge of MARPOL, ISM Code and cargo segregation rules
  • OK- Strong leadership, communication skills and fluency in English (both written and spoken)
