Role overview
The Motorman/Oiler is a key member of the engine department on our oil/chemical tanker. This role involves maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the engine room.
The Motorman/Oiler will perform daily checks on engines, pumps, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order. They will also be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements. Additionally, the Motorman/Oiler will assist with repairs and troubleshooting when necessary.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate, such as an Oil Tanker Familiarization certificate.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Motorman/Oiler on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of engine room operations and maintenance.
- Must be able to work well in a team and follow safety procedures.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
