Role overview
The Ordinary Seaman role on a General Cargo Vessel involves assisting with deck operations and maintenance. This includes performing tasks such as cleaning and painting to maintain the vessel's appearance and ensuring a safe working environment. The role is entry-level and provides an opportunity to gain experience and develop skills in the maritime industry.
As an Ordinary Seaman, day-to-day duties will include assisting with cargo operations, performing routine maintenance tasks, and participating in safety drills and training exercises. Additionally, you will be expected to work safely and follow all safety procedures and protocols.
