Role details The recruitment team is partnering with a well-established ship management company to recruit a Port Captain for its Athens office.

Requirements

  • OKMaster Mariner Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2 Class A or B).
  • OKPrevious seagoing experience in command as a Master or Chief Officer.
  • OKPrevious office-based experience as a Marine Superintendent, Marine Operator, Port Captain or within a similar operational role.
  • OKStrong operational knowledge of dry bulk vessel operations.
  • OKExperience working with geared bulk carrier.
  • OKGood understanding of cargo operations, cargo hold preparation, draft surveys and vessel vetting processes.
  • OKKnowledge of Port State Control, Flag State inspections and international maritime regulations, including ISM, SOLAS and MARPOL.
  • OKExperience handling P&I, insurance or operational claims would be advantageous.
  • OKStrong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • OKProficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management or reporting systems.
  • OKFluent in both English and Greek.
  • OKRight to live and work in Greece.
