Role overview
The Pumpman is a critical member of the deck department on our oil/chemical tanker, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cargo pumps and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of cargo handling systems and procedures. The Pumpman will work closely with other deck crew members to ensure smooth cargo operations.
The Pumpman's day-to-day duties at sea will include monitoring and maintaining cargo pumps, checking cargo tank levels, and performing routine maintenance tasks on pump equipment. The Pumpman will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues with cargo pumps and associated systems, and taking corrective action as needed. Additionally, the Pumpman will assist with cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW certificate for Pumpman
- Valid medical certificate
- Previous experience as a Pumpman on an oil/chemical tanker
- High school diploma or equivalent
