The Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO) was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Copenhagen. It represents shipowners, managers, brokers, and agents, and produces widely-used standard charter-party forms (GENCON, SUPPLYTIME, BARECON) and clauses. BIMCO also provides regulatory guidance, educational resources, and market analysis. Its membership covers approximately 60% of world tonnage.
