The 2nd Engineer will support the Chief Engineer in operating and maintaining the main and auxiliary machinery of a dry‑bulk carrier. You will be responsible for ensuring plant reliability during voyages and while in port.
Daily duties include monitoring engine performance, conducting routine inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on generators, pumps, and compressors. You will supervise junior engine crew, manage spare parts inventory, and respond to any breakdowns or alarms. Reporting of fuel consumption, oil analysis, and compliance with environmental regulations is also required.

Requirements
- OK- Valid STCW 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) with approved endorsement for bulk carriers
- OK- Minimum 2 years sea service as 2nd Engineer on a bulk carrier or similar vessel
- OK- Proficiency in engine monitoring systems and basic computer skills
- OK- Good knowledge of MARPOL, SOLAS, and ISM code requirements
- OK- Ability to work in a multicultural team and communicate in English
