The 2nd Engineer assists the Chief Engineer in operating and maintaining the main and auxiliary machinery of a modern container ship. You will ensure propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems run efficiently and meet all regulatory requirements.
You will monitor engine performance, conduct routine inspections and carry out preventive maintenance on diesel generators, boilers and pumps. You will troubleshoot faults, record technical data and coordinate repairs with the watch‑keeping team. You will also supervise junior engine crew and manage spare‑parts inventory.

Requirements
- OKSTCW 95/96 endorsement and valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency for a container ship
- OKMinimum 2 years experience as 2nd Engineer on a container vessel of 5,000 + TEU
- OKProficiency with engine monitoring and automation systems
- OKValid medical fitness certificate and Seafarer’s Identity Document
- OKGood English communication skills, both written and spoken
