The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on an oil/chemical tanker, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engines and equipment, monitoring fuel consumption and optimizing energy efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for supervising junior engineers and oilers, and providing guidance and training as needed. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

Requirements
- OKHold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- OKHave at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on an oil/chemical tanker.
- OKHold a valid medical certificate.
- OKHave a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
- OKHave excellent communication and leadership skills.
