Daily duties involve supervising the engine room crew, conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting any mechanical issues that arise at sea. The role requires accurate record‑keeping of machinery logs, fuel consumption, and spare parts inventory. You will also support the Chief Engineer during emergencies and drills.

Requirements

  • OK- Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency (STCW) with oil/chemical tanker endorsement
  • OK- Minimum 2 years sea service as 2nd Engineer on oil or chemical tankers
  • OK- Proficiency in engine monitoring and control systems (e.g., DNV, ABS approved)
  • OK- Good knowledge of MARPOL, ISGOTT and tanker safety procedures
  • OK- Fluent English, both spoken and written
