The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for navigation and cargo operations. The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining deck equipment. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for performing watchkeeping duties, including monitoring the vessel's position and surroundings. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.
