The Chief Engineer will oversee the entire engine department on a double‑hull oil/chemical tanker, ensuring safe and efficient operation of main and auxiliary machinery. You will be responsible for compliance with IMO and flag state regulations, as well as maintaining the vessel’s performance standards.
Daily duties include supervising engine crew, planning and executing maintenance schedules, and monitoring fuel, lube and cargo pump systems. You will conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot breakdowns, and keep detailed technical logs. Coordination with the ship’s master and shore management for planned dry‑dock work is also required.

Requirements
- OK1 to Valid STCW 2/2 and Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency for oil/chemical tankers
- OK2 to Minimum 5 years recent experience as Chief Engineer on oil or chemical tankers
- OK3 to Proven knowledge of IMO, MARPOL and SOLAS regulations applicable to tankers
- OK4 to Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a multicultural engine crew
- OK5 to Excellent record of safety and preventive maintenance
