You will work under the Chief Engineer, assisting with maintenance planning and system monitoring. The role involves regular reporting to shore and compliance with safety standards.

Daily duties include monitoring fuel, lubrication and cooling systems, performing routine inspections, and carrying out repairs on diesel generators and propulsion equipment. You will assist in planned overhauls, troubleshoot faults, and keep detailed engine logs. Participation in watch rotations and emergency drills is also required.

Requirements

  • OK1 to STCW II/2 Engine Room Rating, Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (or equivalent)
  • OK2 to Minimum 2 years sea service as 3rd Engineer on a container ship
  • OK3 to Valid medical certificate and seafarer’s identity document
  • OK4 to Strong knowledge of IMO, MARPOL and company safety procedures
  • OK5 to Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
