Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Container Ship, responsible for navigation, cargo operations, and safety. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills. The 3rd Officer will work closely with the Master and other officers to ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining deck equipment. They will also be responsible for performing safety drills and training crew members. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will assist with cargo planning and loading/unloading operations.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Must be able to work well in a team and communicate effectively with crew members
