Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member on an Anchor Handling Tug (AHT) vessel, responsible for overseeing deck operations and maintaining the safety of the crew. The role involves working closely with the Master to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This includes managing cargo, deck equipment, and maintenance activities.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties at sea include supervising cargo operations, monitoring vessel stability and safety, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and for training and mentoring junior crew members. Additionally, the Chief Officer must be prepared to respond to emergencies and take charge of the vessel in the Master's absence.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on an AHT or similar vessel
- Strong knowledge of anchor handling and cargo operations
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Valid medical certificate and ability to pass a drug test
