Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Container Ship. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, maintaining deck equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Chief Officer also assists the Master in navigational and administrative tasks.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties include supervising deck crew, conducting safety drills, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and vessel operations. They are also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the condition of deck equipment, such as cranes and winches. Additionally, the Chief Officer participates in navigational watches, contributing to the safe navigation of the vessel.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Officer's Certificate of Competency
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a container ship
- Must have a valid STCW certificate
- Must have excellent communication and leadership skills
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced maritime environment
