Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the General Cargo Vessel. This role involves overseeing cargo operations, maintaining deck equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for supervising junior officers and crew members.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties at sea will include navigating the vessel, managing cargo plans, and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training junior crew members. Additionally, the Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to plan and execute voyage plans.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a similar type of vessel.
- Must have a strong knowledge of cargo operations and safety regulations.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced maritime environment.
