The Chief Officer will be the second‑in‑command on a double‑hull crude oil tanker operating in international trade. You will oversee cargo operations, stability management and safety procedures under the Master’s direction.
Daily duties include supervising deck crew during loading and discharge, conducting pre‑cargo checks, and maintaining the vessel’s stability book. You will ensure all safety equipment is serviceable, lead emergency drills, and verify compliance with MARPOL and ISGOTT regulations. Reporting to the Master, you will also handle documentation, watch‑keeping and liaison with port authorities.

Requirements
- OK- Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency (STCW) for oil tankers
- OK- Minimum 2 years recent experience as Chief Officer on an oil tanker, or 4 years as 2nd Officer with cargo handling exposure
- OK- STCW 95/98 basic safety, advanced fire fighting and medical care certificates
- OK- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- OK- Current medical fitness certificate and drug test clearance
