Role overview

We are seeking an experienced ETO to join our team on a Bulk carrier. The ETO will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all electrical and electronic equipment on board. This includes ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The ETO will perform daily checks on electrical and electronic systems, troubleshoot faults, and carry out repairs as needed. They will also be responsible for maintaining records of equipment maintenance and repairs. Additionally, the ETO will provide technical support to other crew members and assist with training when required.

  • Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as an Electro-Technical Officer.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an ETO on a merchant vessel.
  • Good knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including navigation and communication equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
