The Fitter/Welder will be part of the deck department on a crude oil tanker, responsible for maintaining and repairing ship equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and welding techniques. The Fitter/Welder will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

The Fitter/Welder's day-to-day duties will include performing repairs and maintenance on deck equipment, such as pumps and winches, as well as welding and fabricating parts as needed. They will also be responsible for inspecting and testing equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Additionally, the Fitter/Welder will assist with other tasks as required, such as cargo operations and emergency drills.
