Role overview
We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our team on an oil/chemical tanker. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing ship equipment and machinery. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background and ability to work independently.
As a Fitter/Welder on our vessel, your day-to-day duties will include performing repairs and maintenance on deck equipment, piping systems, and other mechanical systems. You will also be responsible for welding and fabricating parts as needed, and assisting with cargo operations. Additionally, you will be expected to follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW certificate
- Fitter/Welder trade certification
- At least 2 years of experience as a Fitter/Welder on a merchant vessel
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- High school diploma or equivalent
