Role overview
The Pumpman is a critical member of the deck team on our oil tanker vessels, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cargo pumps and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of cargo handling systems and a commitment to safety. The Pumpman will work closely with other deck crew to ensure the successful loading and discharge of cargo.
The day-to-day duties of the Pumpman include monitoring cargo tank levels, operating and maintaining cargo pumps, and performing routine maintenance tasks on associated equipment. The Pumpman will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues with cargo handling systems and implementing repairs as needed. Additionally, the Pumpman will assist with cargo operations, including loading and discharging cargo, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

What we look for
- Valid STCW certificate with Pumpman endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pumpman on an oil tanker
- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in a maritime environment
