The Safety Officer will oversee all safety and emergency procedures aboard a modern passenger vessel, ensuring compliance with international regulations and company standards. You will act as the primary point of contact for safety audits, drills and incident investigations.

Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment, lifesaving appliances and fire protection systems. Lead muster drills, fire drills and emergency response exercises for crew and passengers. Maintain safety records, report hazards and coordinate corrective actions with the deck department.

Requirements

  • OK- STCW Certificate of Safety Management (SMC) and Medical First Aid
  • OK- Minimum 3 years experience as Safety Officer on passenger vessels
  • OK- Valid Marine Safety Officer Certificate of Competency (CoC) or equivalent
  • OK- Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code and flag state regulations
  • OK- Good command of English, both written and spoken; computer literacy for safety management software
