Responsibilities include monitoring LNG cargo handling systems and ensuring compliance with class and flag regulations. The role offers exposure to advanced cryogenic equipment and high‑pressure fuel gas systems.

Daily duties involve supervising engine room watch teams, conducting routine inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on propulsion and power generation units. You will assist in troubleshooting mechanical failures, manage spare parts inventory, and prepare technical reports for the bridge and shore office. Coordination with the cargo team for safe LNG transfer operations is also required.

Requirements

  • OKSTCW 95/18/2 and valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) for tankers.
  • OKLNG carrier specific training (e.g., LNG Familiarisation, Cryogenic Safety).
  • OKMinimum 3 years experience as 2nd Engineer on LNG or gas carriers.
  • OKProficiency with engine monitoring systems and automated control panels.
  • OKGood command of English, both written and spoken.
