The OS will work on a modern container vessel, assisting the deck crew in cargo handling, watchkeeping and general ship maintenance. You will be part of a multinational team that operates on international routes across major ports.

Daily duties include securing and lashing containers, cleaning decks, standing watch as directed, and participating in safety drills and emergency response. You will also help with routine inspections, painting, and basic repairs under the supervision of the Chief Mate.

Requirements

  • OKSTCW Basic Safety Training certificate (including Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Fighting, First Aid)
  • OKValid Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID) and passport with at least 6 months validity
  • OKMinimum 6 months sea service as Ordinary Seaman on a container or bulk carrier
  • OKAbility to read and follow English instructions and safety signs
  • OKGood physical fitness and ability to work in all weather conditions
