The 3rd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on our Heavy-Lift Carrier, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 3rd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer and other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

The 3rd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the vessel's engines and equipment, monitoring and analyzing performance data, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The 3rd Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and logs of maintenance and repair activities. Additionally, the 3rd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • OKMust hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
  • OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 3rd Engineer on a merchant vessel.
  • OKMust have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
  • OKMust be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • OKMust hold a valid medical certificate and be physically fit for duty at sea.
