Marine Insight 360 is recruiting a 3rd Officer on Crude oil tanker for Oil Tanker linked to Crude oil tanker.
The source listing notes: 3rd Officer on Crude oil tanker The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for navigation, cargo operations, and maintenance.
This role requires a strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols.
The 3rd Officer will work closely with the Master and other officers to ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
They will also be responsible for updating navigation charts and publications, and participating in drills and training exercises.
Additionally, the 3rd Officer will stand watch on the bridge, monitoring the vessel's position and responding to any changes in weather or traffic.

The role should be assessed around bridge or deck watchkeeping, cargo or passenger safety, mooring discipline, emergency response and clear record keeping.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training, including tanker familiarization
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a tanker vessel
- Must hold a valid medical certificate
- Must have a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
