The Master will be the overall commander of a modern crude oil tanker, responsible for safe navigation, cargo operations and compliance with international regulations. You will lead a multinational crew and ensure the vessel meets the highest standards of performance and safety.

Daily duties include planning voyages, supervising cargo loading and discharge, monitoring ballast operations, and maintaining watchkeeping schedules. You will conduct regular safety drills, oversee maintenance of deck equipment, and liaise with shore offices and port authorities. All decisions will be documented in the ship’s log and reported to the company’s technical team.

Requirements

  • OKMaster Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC) with STCW endorsement for oil tankers
  • OKMinimum 5 years sea service as Master or Chief Officer on crude oil tankers of 20,000 + DWT
  • OKValid Class 1 medical fitness certificate and Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID)
  • OKStrong knowledge of IMO MARPOL, ISM and tanker cargo handling procedures
  • OKProven leadership, communication and emergency response skills
