The Chief Engineer will be the senior technical officer on a modern crude oil tanker, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all propulsion and auxiliary plant. You will oversee the engine department, ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and support the ship’s commercial objectives.

Daily duties include supervising the engine room crew, monitoring performance of the main engine, generators and cargo pumps, and handling troubleshooting and repairs. You will manage planned maintenance, spare parts inventory and coordinate with shore-based technical support. Reporting to the Captain, you will keep accurate technical logs and ensure all statutory inspections are completed on schedule.
